AmbiCom Holdings Signs LOI With PC Drivers HeadQuarters
MILPITAS, CA–(Marketwired – Jun 18, 2014) – AmbiCom Holdings, Inc. (OTCQB: ABHI), a leading designer and developer of innovative wireless hardware and tuning software products targeting the healthcare market and complex IT environments with more than one million devices sold worldwide, today announced that it has signed a Letter of Intent with PC Drivers HeadQuarters (DHQ) to use AmbiCom’s Veloxum solution for the development and commercialization of software products targeting home users.
AmbiCom and DHQ will jointly develop the integration of the Veloxum application in to the current DHQ offering. This will add the capability of automated performance tuning to the current offering of PC Driver Support. It is anticipated that this combined offering will be market-ready by the end of the first quarter of AmbiCom’s 2015 fiscal year. The relationship is defined as OEM, with DHQ as the OEM and the Veloxum product being the add-in functionality.
DHQ was one of the first companies to commercialize the internet, selling and supporting its products online since 1996. Based in Austin, Texas, privately held DHQ is the leading provider of automated support products that update and maintain the complex list of drivers on home PC products for over 3 million active users. This relationship will give Ambicom access to the global installed base of 2.3 billion* Personal Computers (*according to Gartner Research).
“By adding to the existing Drivers’ offering we are able to address a market valued at almost $69,000,000,000. DHQ has been successfully addressing this market for almost 20 years and they bring that knowledge to this relationship. We look forward to bringing performance to the home user marketplace,” said Kevin Cornell, President of AmbiCom.
“Drivers has been highly successful over the past 20 years offering online technical support for home users. We look forward to adding performance to our offering, to create a truly unique capability for home users,” stated Michael Hurd, President of DHQ.
